I love both these operating systems, I dual boot Windows & Ubuntu (I like the safety of online shopping on Ubuntu & the gaming of Windows) Both systems have their pros and cons.

ubuntu has compartibility for Windows a lof, but windows has none :p

I use both - Vista and Ubuntu - there's a download at Ubuntu you can get (Wubi) that you install from Windows - not a lot of instruction on it - you launch the install from Windows, then after a system reboot, select Ubuntu from the boot menu. I had problems on the first install, so went back into Vista, uninstalled Wubi/Ubuntu, then reinstalled and everything went fine. Ubuntu is free and you can put it where you want to - tons of downloads!

both mate but mainly windows,....dual boot,.check out a few google sites for dual boot,...maybe you may like linux,...
